Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner opened preliminary investigation into Concevis SA over alleged data protection violations

On 14 November 2023, the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) initiated a preliminary investigation against Concevis SA following a cyberattack that potentially compromised the Federal Statistical Office's data. The FDPIC is examining indications of possible violations of data protection regulations to determine if a formal investigation is warranted under Article 49 of the Data Protection Act.
