On 17 March 2023, the Prime Minister issued Executive Decree No. 23-123 amending and supplementing Executive Decree No. 21-44 on defining the exploitation regime applicable to each type of network granted to the public and various electronic communications services. The decree modifying Article 5, which pertains to the simple declaration regime for electronic communication services not covered by licence or general authorisation requirements. The amended Article 5 specifies that the Postal and Electronic Communications Regulatory Authority must issue a registration certificate within two months of receiving the declaration of intent to commercially operate the service, which must be acknowledged by a receipt. Additionally, a fee of DZD 50'000 is now required for each registration certificate.
