On 17 January 2021, the Prime Minister issued the Regulation of Digital Communication Services (Executive Decree No. 21-44), which includes operational licence requirements. The decree defines the exploitation regime applicable to each type of network granted to the public and various electronic communications services. The decree requires entities providing specific services, such as internet access, IP telephony, enhanced-value electronic communications services (e.g., email and cloud services), data hosting and storage in data centres, cross-border data transmission, and other classified services to obtain a licence to operate in the country.
