Announced Ofcom investigation into illegal content risks on social media platforms

On 16 December 2024, the Office of Communications (Ofcom) announced its request for social media websites and apps under the jurisdiction of the Online Safety Act 2023 to document the risks illegal content could present to children and adult users on their platform. They must complete an assessment of these risks before 16 March 2025.
