Egypt: Adopted Egypt-Somalia Memorandum of Understanding on ICT cooperation

On 23 January 2023, the Egyptian Minister of Communication and Information Technology and the Somali Minister of Post, Telecom, and Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector. The MoU aims to foster bilateral cooperation through the exchange of expertise in ICT, with a focus on capacity building and providing specialised training programmes for Somalia. The cooperation areas include data analysis, artificial intelligence, information security, optical fibers, embedded systems, and cybersecurity.
