Mexico: Passed Decree amending the Federal Labor Law in terms of digital platforms

On 10 December 2024, the Chamber of Deputies passed the Decree amending the Federal Labor Law in terms of digital platforms. The Decree would set out the conditions for recognising the employment status and social security rights of platform workers. To this end, the Decree establishes relevant definitions and more detailed rules governing specific aspects of platform work.
