Issued order in CCCS investigation into Foodpanda over alleged misleading claims in its subscription campaign

On 20 November 2024, the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) adopted an order against Foodpanda over misleading claims in its Pandapro subscription campaign. The claim advertised unlimited free delivery in all restaurants from 1 July to 30 September 2024. The investigation revealed that the advertisement misrepresented the offer, as subscribers only received discounts on delivery fees, with over 40% of transactions still requiring a residual payment. As a result, Foodpanda agreed to refund subscribers, clarify the terms of the service, and review future marketing materials to ensure compliance with fair trading laws. CCCS highlighted that further enforcement action would be taken if similar misleading advertisements occur.
