Signed MoU between Hong Kong Productivity Council and Shenzhen Data Exchange on data exchange facilitation

On 14 November 2024, the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKDC) and Shenzhen Data Exchange (SDEC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote data exchange between the two regions. The agreement focuses on five areas: promoting data flows between Shenzhen and Hong Kong under a compliant and lawful standard framework, promoting cooperation between data traders in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to upgrade their data assets, building a data exchange and communication platform between the regions, and exploring a converging system of data governance to promote the digital economy.
