Italy: Garante publishes guidelines on data processing certification under GDPR

On 14 July 2021, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Italy's personal data protection authority, has published a set of guidelines on data processing certification under the general data protection regulation of the EU (GDPR). Guidance is provided to data controllers and processors on the certification process and the benefits of certification.
