Adopted DSIT Report on assuring a responsible future for AI

On 6 November 2024, the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) published a report on the UK's Artificial Intelligence (AI) assurance market. The report highlighted that there are currently 524 firms generating GBP 1.01 billion in revenue and employing 12,572 people in the AI assurance market. It was highlighted that the market faces challenges such as low consumer awareness of AI risks, limited infrastructure, and fragmented governance frameworks, which restrict growth and interoperability. The report suggests that addressing the barriers would enable reaching its market potential, projecting growth to GBP 6.53 billion by 2035.
