Opened consultation on the DSIT AI management essentials tool

On 6 November 2024, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) opened a public consultation on the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Management Essentials (AIME) tool until 29 January 2025. The consultation seeks feedback from organisations, particularly start-ups and small and medium enterprises developing or using AI systems. AIME is a self-assessment tool designed to support organisations in establishing responsible AI management practices by listing and elaborating on principles from existing AI regulations and frameworks. The consultation seeks information on the tool's design, content, and utility to ensure it supports businesses in implementing effective AI governance.
