Latin America and the Caribbean: Adopted KISA, MSIT-IDB business agreement strengthening digital safety and trust

On 4 November 2024, the Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA) and the Ministry of Science and Information and Communications Technology (MSIT) renewed the business agreement with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to strengthen digital safety and trust in Central and South America. The agreement applies to initiatives to enhance cybersecurity and digital infrastructure for public safety and connectivity across the region. The agreement focuses on measures including joint research on digital security and capacity-building programmes in cybersecurity policy. It also highlights sharing of best practices and incident data, and collaborative projects focused on public safety technology. The agreement is expected to support talent development through specific cybersecurity exchange programmes.
