On 26 March 2024, the artificial intelligence (AI) Regulatory Framework (Turing Law/Bill no. 1013-D-2024), including personal data protection regulation, was introduced to the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina. The Bill amends the Law on Data Protection (Law 25.326) to cover the collection of personal data for AI-driven data usage and systems. Specific requirements include transparency around data collection and use, and user choice over how personal data is used and transparency regarding the potential for data to be used to infer new information and the extent of such inference.
