On 26 March 2024, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Regulatory Framework (Turing Law/Bill no. 1013-D-2024) was introduced to the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina. The Bill amends the penal code to criminalise the non-consensual creation or distribution of AI-generated explicit content, with additional penalties in cases involving minors or if the material is used for extortion or harassment.
