Announced SEC Digital Asset Regulatory Sandbox

On 21 October 2024, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that it is advancing its Digital Asset Regulatory Sandbox project to support digital asset innovation in Thailand. The initiative aims to enhance service efficiency, reduce operational costs, and provide improved services to investors through the integration of technology. The sandbox allows participants to test innovative digital asset services under flexible regulations. Six types of services, including digital asset trading centres, brokers, and fund managers, are eligible.
