Closed consultation on AI Systems Development and Regulation Draft Act

On 15 November 2024, the Ministry of Digital Affairs closes the public consultation on the draft Act on Artificial Intelligence. The consultation aims to gather feedback to refine and optimise the proposed solutions, particularly in areas concerning procedures and forms of support for AI development. The draft AI Act proposes the establishment of an AI Development and Security Commission, a Social Council for broad participation in shaping AI policy and measures for the safe, ethical, and transparent use of AI technologies. The Act emphasises ensuring user safety, promoting ethical AI practices, and supporting business operations through regulatory sandboxes, stability for enterprises, and annual assessments of AI's computing and energy needs.
