Description

Adopted Singapore-Korea mutual recognition agreement for recognition of cybersecurity labels

On 16 October 2024, the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore signed a mutual recognition arrangement with the Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA) for the recognition of cybersecurity labels, applying to smart consumer products such as smart home assistants and the Internet of Things (IoT) gateways. The arrangement establishes mutual recognition of cybersecurity labels, allowing products certified under KISA’s certification of IoT cybersecurity and Singapore’s cybersecurity label to be accepted in both countries. Products certified at KISA’s basic level and above will meet Singapore's cybersecurity labelling scheme (IoT) Level 3 requirements, which provides that the product has been developed using the principles of security-by-design and has undergone assessment of the software binaries by approved third-party test laboratories.
