Announced G7 DPAs plan for a Memoranda of Understanding on enforcement cooperation

On 11 October 2024, the Group of Seven (G7) Data Protection and Privacy Authorities adopted the action plan to establish Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and Memorandums of Cooperation (MoCs) to enhance global enforcement cooperation. The MoUs and MoCs will incorporate the 2023 G7 request for information form into the global privacy assembly’s enforcement cooperation handbook. The MoUs and MoCs will seek to enhance enforcement cooperation among the authorities by fostering dialogue, addressing cross-border challenges, and developing bilateral agreements while sharing best practices and priorities.
