Issued Minister of Communications and Informatics order blocking access to application Temu for non-compliance with registration requirements
On 9 October 2024, the Minister of Communications and Informatics (MIC) issued an order requiring access blocking to the application Temu. The MIC specified that Temu failed to register as an electronic system operator and that its direct-from-factory sales model is hurting local small and medium-sized businesses. The MIC described the competition as "unhealthy" and emphasised the need to safeguard domestic enterprises.
