Launched Clean Up and Standardise Online Language Use Initiative

On 11 October 2024, the Central Cyberspace Information Office, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, launched a national initiative titled Clean Up and Standardise Online Language Use. This initiative focuses on issues such as distorted language usage, slang, and uncivil expressions, especially in trending content and featured sections on major websites. Further, the initiative is aimed at creating a healthier online environment for minors through cooperation between cyberspace and education authorities, public reporting channels, and strict enforcement of language regulations. It also encourages public awareness of language laws and advocates for civilised language use across society.
