Announced outcome of campaign on removing online child pornography and illegal gambling content

On 4 April 2022, Globe Telecom, in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and other government agencies, announced the blocking of 11,320 websites and 502 domains hosting pornographic content, alongside 194 domains related to illegal gambling. This action is part of Globe's ongoing #MakeITSafePh initiative, launched in 2017, aimed at combating online child pornography and illegal gambling through content moderation regulation. The company has invested over USD 2.7 million in content filtering systems to support this cause. The initiative aligns with the Philippines' Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009, requiring internet service providers to block access to child pornography.
