On 8 October 2024, the Korean Fair Trade Commission (FTC) issued a statement on the 6th meeting of the Mutual Growth Council between small business owners, consumers, and delivery platforms. The partnered businesses presented four main demands: reducing commission fees, improving receipt labeling, ceasing demands for "Most Favored Nation" status, and sharing delivery drivers' location information. Both parties discussed these issues along with additional matters such as promoting public delivery apps to address market monopolies. The 7th meeting is scheduled for 14 October 2024 to finalise decisions. If an agreement is reached, it will be announced as a mutual growth measure; if not, a recommendation will be issued by public representatives. The government is closely monitoring the situation and aims to support a resolution within October.
