China: Opened consultation on the Plan for the Establishment for the Standardization Technical Committee for Humanoid Robots

On 30 September 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China opened a consultation on the Plan for the Standardization Technical Committee for Humanoid Robots until 6 November 2024. This Committee would oversee the development and implementation of industry standards for humanoid robots, covering aspects from basic common features to safety, and applications in various sectors including industrial manufacturing and home care. The consultation seeks to gather feedback from all sectors of society to ensure comprehensive coverage and effective standardization and aims to gather contributions towards the development, revision, and implementation of humanoid robot industry standards.
