France: Adopted German-French Recommendations for the use of AI programming assistants

On 4 October 2024, France's Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI) and Germany's (Federal Office for Information Security) jointly published a set of Recommendations for the use of AI programming assistants. The Recommendations discuss the secure use of AI coding assistants in the software development process. The agencies identify a number of risks and recommend actions such conducting risk analysis, investing in quality assurance teams, and checking and reproducing generated source code.
