United States of America: Issued ruling in Investigation into internet domains to combat russian spear-phishing

On 3 October 2024, the US Justice Department issued a warrant for the seizure of 41 internet domains as part of a coordinated investigation with Microsoft. These domains, utilised by Russian intelligence agents and their proxies, were involved in computer fraud and abuse within the United States. The seized domains were linked to the Callisto Group, an operational unit within the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), engaged in an extensive spear-phishing campaign aimed at stealing sensitive information from US government entities and other victims.
