On 16 February 2024, the Electronic Transactions Development Agency's (ETDA) announcement on criteria, procedures, and conditions for the use of digital platform business notification marks (no. 2/2567) entered into force. The notification mark is intended to indicate that a digital platform business has registered its operations in compliance with the Royal Decree on Digital Platform Business Operations B.E. 2565 (2022). Furthermore, it serves as a symbol that the business is authorised and recognised as compliant with the requirements set forth by the ETDA. To be eligible for the mark, businesses must have obtained a Notification Certificate and must not be under any suspension or termination orders. The mark is characterised by a frame in the shape of the letter "M" containing a green check mark, symbolising that the business has undergone the registration and verification process. Furthermore, the mark includes the text “ETDA DPS NOTIFIED DIGITAL PLATFORM SERVICES” in three different colors: blue, green, and gray, or in a single color. Moreover, the mark can only be displayed on websites or applications that serve as the primary service channels for the registered digital platform business. In addition, the mark must be linked to the ETDA’s business notification database to allow for public verification. Finally, the ETDA reserves the right to suspend or terminate the use of the notification mark if the business fails to adhere to the established guidelines or conditions. In cases of non-compliance, the mark’s use will be suspended until the issues are resolved. The use of the mark will also be terminated if the business discontinues its operations or if its registration is officially revoked.
