On 27 September 2024, the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) of the Republic of Korea and the French National Information and Freedom Commission (CNIL) held the 3rd Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy Council meeting in Paris, France. This meeting, part of a series following a business agreement signed in October 2022, aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of data protection regulation within ML and AI development. The discussions involved the exchange of information regarding the AI risk assessment model being developed by the PIPC and the deployment considerations for generative AI released by CNIL in July. The ongoing collaboration includes various projects such as awareness campaigns for children and adolescents, and sharing of best practices and guidelines for personal information protection in AI.
