On 4 August 2023, the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) adopted the order on forms for annual notification of information on the operation of digital platform service businesses and notification of change to the information (no. 3/2566). The order establishes the requirements for digital platform operators in Thailand to submit annual reports and notify any changes in their business information to the ETDA. Furthermore, the order mandates that operators must provide detailed information about their business operations annually through the Business Notification System or by submission to the ETDA. In case of changes to specific business details, such as business acquisition, transfer, merger, or other structural changes, operators must report these changes within 30 days. In addition, the order distinguishes between two types of operators: those required to provide comprehensive information under Section 8 Paragraph One and those who only need to provide brief details under Section 8 Paragraph Four. Each type of operator must use the prescribed forms and follow the outlined procedures for notifying ETDA about their business status and any changes that occur during the year. The order will enter into force on 21 August 2023.
