Implemented Act amending the Sedition Act 1948 including provisions on online seditious content

On 4 June 2015, the amendments to the Sedition Act 1948 were implemented. The Act revised the minimum jail term for sedition causing injury or property damage from five to three years, and importing seditious publications was no longer considered an offence. The Act also empowered courts to order the removal of online seditious content and to prevent access if the perpetrator was unidentified.
