Announced US-Vietnam Cybersecurity Cooperation

On 24 September 2024, the United States and Vietnam announced a declaration to enhance their cooperation in preventing and combating high-tech crimes. Both parties agreed to intensify the exchange of delegations at all levels to share insights on cyber threats, cybercrime tactics, and effective investigative and response strategies. They also agreed to establish a more robust cooperation mechanism for timely information exchange and coordination in addressing cybersecurity emergencies and combating organised and transnational cyber-enabled crimes. This announcement was made during the 79th United Nations General Assembly.
