Russia: Closed investigation into OZON after amendment of seller policies

On 13 September 2024, the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) announced that OZON had amended its seller policies in response to a warning issued by the FAS concerning the potential violation of the country's antimonopoly legislation. In particular, the company updated its contracts with sellers to include a clear list of reasons for contract refusal or unilateral termination, and clarified the responsibilities of sellers for violations. OZON also introduced transparent conditions for the "Points for Discounts" service and launched a new chat feature that allows sellers to share their contact information with buyers to resolve disputes directly.
