China: Announced Notice on Promoting the Development of Mobile Internet of Things (IoT)

On 12 September 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT) announced the Notice on Promoting the Development of Mobile Internet of Things (IoT), outlining key goals and strategies for advancing mobile IoT technology. The Notice sets targets to establish a comprehensive, secure mobile IoT ecosystem based on 4G and 5G networks. It further outlines tasks such as enhancing innovation in key industries, promoting IoT applications in other areas, creating a favourable development environment, and improving security measures.
