Opened Consultation on Consumer Protection Rule Implementation Status Monitoring 2024 Survey Plan

On 21 August 2024, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) opened a consultation as part of the consumer protection rule implementation status monitoring 2024 survey plan, which remains open until the 20 September 2024. It investigates the implementation status of consumer protection rules based on the Telecommunications Business Act (Act No. 86 of 1984). The focus is on evaluating compliance with legal obligations, identifying best practices, and determining areas for improvement both operationally and systemically. The survey methods include on-site inspections, hearings, and complaint analysis. The survey includes MNO (Mobile Network Operator) and MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) services, and its results will be used to evaluate compliance with the relevant consumer protection rules.
