On 14 September 2024, the Chinese State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) closed its consultation on the draft “Discretionary Standards for Administrative Penalties for Concentration of Undertakings in Violation of the Anti-Monopoly Law”. In particular, the draft standards aim to regulate and standardize the penalties for unlawful concentration of undertakings following the implementation of the Amendment to Anti-Monopoly Law on 1 August 2022.
