Introduced Law Regulating Gambling through Digital Platforms

On 31 July 2024, the Law Regulating Gambling through Digital Platforms (4045-D-2024) was introduced in the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina. The Law seeks to regulate gambling on digital platforms. It would require all providers of digital gambling services to register with the digital gambling registry, setting an annual fee ARS 200 million for an operational licence. It would also require the implementation of biometric user verification systems and prohibit the advertisement of digital gambling by any means.
