European Union: Issued European Commission approval for acquisition of Etix by Infranity and Eurazeo

On 14 August 2024, the European Commission approved the acquisition of Etix by Infranity and Eurazeo, based in France. The Commission noted that the acquisition involves the provision of scalable data centres that ensure high-speed connectivity through the hosting of major telecommunications hubs. The Commission concluded that the acquisition would not raise competition concerns within the European Economic Area, considering the limited activities of the joint venture within the European Economic Area.
