China: Closed consultation on MIIT collection of typical application cases of AI empowering new industrialisation

On 31 August 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) closes the public consultation on the typical application cases of Artificial Intelligence (AI) empowering new industrialisation initiative. The initiative focuses on the integration of AI technologies within traditional industries to advance growth in the manufacturing sector. The public consultation invites submissions of case studies demonstrating successful AI applications in sectors such as steel and nonferrous metals, chemicals, building materials, machinery, autos, and power equipment, aiming to compile a platform of innovative ideas for industry-wide learning and advancement.
