On 7 August 2024, the National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee (TC260) initiated a public consultation on the Cybersecurity Standard Practice Guidelines - Security Requirements for Data Processing on Internet Platform Suspension until 22 August 2024. The guidelines include measures regulating data processing activities when internet platforms cease operations, ensuring data security, promoting lawful and effective data usage, and protecting the legitimate rights of individuals and organizations. The guidelines are in line with the cybersecurity, data security, and personal information protection laws, setting out basic requirements for internet platform data processing upon service cessation, including the handling of personal and critical data. The guidelines aim to clarify the obligations of internet platform operators in safeguarding data security and provide a reference for regulatory authorities in security supervision or assessment.
