European Union: Issued EU Commission approval of Juniper Networks acquisition by Hewlett Packard Enterprise

On 1 August 2024, the European Commission approved the proposed acquisition of Juniper Networks by Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company after concluding that the transaction would not raise competition concerns in the market for goods or services related to network hardware and equipment. In particular, the Commission investigated whether the transaction would impact the market for the supply of wireless local area network (WLAN) equipment; the market for the supply of wireless access points (WAP); the market for the supply of Ethernet campus switches; and the market for the supply of datacentre switches.
