Description

Introduced the Bill establishing regulatory sandboxes (Bill No. 3422-D-2024)

On 1 July 2024, the Bill on Experimental Regulatory Environments System (Regulatory Sandboxes) was introduced at the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina. The Bill aims to foster innovation by creating controlled environments for testing new technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies. The Bill targets businesses developing high-impact projects and establishes a framework for participation in the sandbox. The Bill also empowers the implementing authority to prevent unfair practices in the sandboxes that could harm competition, restrict market access, distort competition, or abuse market dominance, as well as requiring it to protect the confidentiality and security of the testing environment.
