On 25 July 2024, the Prime Ministers of India and the United Kingdom adopted the Technology Security Initiative (TSI), aimed at enhancing collaboration in critical and emerging technologies across various sectors including internet and telecom services infrastructure, machine learning and artificial intelligence development, and semiconductor production. This initiative, part of the broader India-UK Roadmap 2030, focuses on issues such as design requirements for technologies and the elimination of bias in AI systems. The TSI will be coordinated by the National Security Advisors of both countries, with progress reviewed biannually at the Deputy NSA level.
