On 22 July 2024, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development opened the public consultation on the application of the Hiroshima Process International Code of Conduct (Code of Conduct) for organisations developing advanced AI systems until 6 September 2024. The Code of Conduct is a risk-based approach to promote safe, secure, and trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (AI) globally. The Code of Conduct offers voluntary guidance for organisations developing the most advanced AI systems, including foundation models and generative AI, and it comprises high-level principles rather than specific requirements. The consultation aims to assess how the organisations align with the Code of Conduct and includes questions based on the Code of Conduct, including risk identification, evaluation and management, transparency reporting, content authentication, international interoperability and standards and protections for personal data.
