India: Issued CCI approval of proposed acquisition of up to 56% shareholding of Ismartu India Private by Dixon Technologies

On 18 July 2024, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) approved Dixon Technologies (India) Limited's acquisition of up to 56% shareholding of Ismartu India Private Limited. Dixon Technologies, through its various subsidiaries and joint ventures in India, is engaged in providing Engineering and Manufacturing Services (EMS) for a wide range of products, including communication devices such as mobile phones, laptops, and tablets, as well as lighting solutions, televisions, washing machines and security systems. Ismartu India, the target company, is an Indian subsidiary of Ismartu Ind. Pte. Limited specialises in EMS related to mobile phones, including printed circuit board assembly and LCD module display, among other ancillary services.
