United States of America: Published Treasury and Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council guide on effective practices for secure cloud adoption

On 17 July 2024, the US Department of the Treasury and the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC) issued new resources outlining effective practices for secure cloud adoption. These resources aim to guide financial institutions of all sizes in adopting secure cloud practices and operational strategies. They also aim to foster ongoing collaboration to address gaps identified in the Treasury's report on the Financial Services Sector's Adoption of Cloud Services. The resource goals include establishing common terminology for discussions on cloud services, coordinating oversight of cloud service providers, developing best practices for managing third-party risks and enhancing transparency in outsourcing and due diligence processes.
