Description

Implemented Digital Instant Game Rules 2017

On 1 October 2017, the Digital Instant Game Rules 2017 were implemented following approval by the Minister of Internal Affairs. These rules, established under the Gambling Act 2003, set forth regulations for the operation of digital instant games by the New Zealand Lotteries Commission. Provisions include eligibility criteria requiring players to be 18 years or older, the method of play through ticket issuance, the conduct of digital instant games, including prize pool determination, and the awarding of prizes with a clear process for prize claims. Additionally, the rules address the limitation of the Commission’s liability for losses incurred by any player and establish the binding nature of the Commission's decisions on all participants.
