Thailand: Issued statement on Ministry of Digital Economy and Society ongoing efforts to block and suppress online gambling sites

In particular, the MDES has blocked seven URLs by court order and is seeking to block 13 more. Despite continuous monitoring and law enforcement, website owners often change URLs. In 2022, the MDES handled 318 cases, arrested 461 suspects, and blocked 1,830 gambling URLs. Furthermore, the MDES emphasises the dangers of gambling sites, warning youth about potential scams and data theft, and encourages the public to report such sites via hotline 1212 or the DESMonitor Facebook page.
