France: Opened consultation on CNIL guidelines for conducting diversity measurement surveys in compliance with privacy regulations

On 9 July 2024, the French Data Protection Agency (CNIL) opened a consultation for recommendations on the guidelines for conducting diversity measurement surveys in compliance with privacy regulations until 13 September 2024. The consultation is addressed to employers, service providers acting as trusted third parties, employees, and agents engaged in diversity measurement within organisations. The guideline emphasises the sensitive nature of health status, sexual orientation, and ethnic origin, which are collected as part of diversity assessments and underscores the need for strict privacy safeguards in accordance with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation.
