Closed consultation on CNIL recommendation relating to passwords and other shared secrets

The Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL), the regulatory body for personal data protection of France, has closed its public consultation on a set of draft recommendations on basic security measures concerning the use of passwords in the context of digital services. The recommendations are intended as an update of an earlier set of recommendations published in 2017. The final set of recommendations is set for publication in early 2022.
