On 5 July 2024, the South Korean Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) announced the completion of the first phase of the e-commerce market survey and the initiation of the second phase, a written survey targeting 40 major brands in the shopping sector. This initiative aligns with the KFTC's action plan to identify and analyse fair trade and consumer issues stemming from changes in market structures within new technology markets, including the e-commerce and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors.
