Description

Announced UOKiK investigation into AzaGroup regarding alleged misleading practices by Renee.pl and Born2Be.pl

On 4 July 2024, the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) announced an investigation into AzaGroup, the owner of Renee.pl and Born2Be.pl, online retailers, for clothing and footwear, over concerns about non-transparent and misleading practices in both websites. The investigation focuses on the company's failure to inform consumers about the lowest price from the 30 days before discount announcements, misleading consumers by offering attractive prices that are available only to members of their loyalty club, and labeling products as “discounted” while offering them at a price that has not changed compared to the lowest price from the 30 days before the discount was advertised. AzaGroup faces fines up to 10% of its turnover.
